What are Life Groups?

Life Groups are small gatherings of Sonoma Avenue family and their friends, which are held in homes around the Santa Rosa area. The groups choose what day and time will best suit them, and they usually meet on a weekly basis. Life Groups also reflect on the weekly sermon and each spends time in Bible study and discussion, sharing needs, praying, teaching children (if applicable), singing and sometimes eating!

We seek to be a place where everyone has a sense of belonging, and this is better established when one is closely associated with a smaller “core” group of friends within the church. Life Groups provide “family” relationships in which we can share, learn, serve each other, and as a group, minister to our community.

Personal growth does not happen in isolation. We cannot be all that God intended us to be if we try to take our spiritual walk on a narrow path for one. God created us to work together, to act as one, and to depend on each other. (1 Cor. 12:12-26)
