· Vince Stewart’s Aunt June has made amazing improvements and is  back home! We are so thankful for answered prayer!

· Pray for Tim Nunnemaker’s healing; he’s undergoing treatments for lymphoma at Stanford Hospital.

· Pray for Virgil Weare’s sister, Sarah Knapp; she’s getting weaker from her cancer.

· Pray for Penni Colley’s Grandson, Jeffrey Coleman, in the Army in Iraq.

· Pray for Rob Schuetz’ cousin, Charlie, in Afghanistan.

Upcoming Events

New Young Adult Sunday School Class Begins Today!

A new young adult Sunday school class begins today;  all who are ages 18-25 are welcome!   We will be meeting in the back of the Family Life Center.  The group will begin with a twelve week study on living intentionally  called “Essentials:  A Guide to the Foundational Beliefs and Practices of the Christian Faith”.  Come  and check out this class and share a cup of coffee.

New Sunday Morning Adult Class Begins Today!

Randy Mason will be teaching a new Sunday Morning Class  “Into the heart of Jesus” in the front room of the Family Life Center.  The study will focus on the parables and other discourses of Jesus.  The class will combine in-depth study with class participation in sharing and personal application.

Note: Mike & Trellys Henley’s support and healing class will be joining the  new class.

Poinsettia Plants in Dedication of a Loved One

Please bring in poinsettia plants for the Auditorium Stage.    If you wish to “dedicate” it to a loved one who has gone to glory, please add a special card.    We will do a weekly mention of those loved ones.

Saturday Celebration of Praise & Christmas Fellowship 6 pm,  This Sat.!

Come and be blessed at our  combined Celebration of Praise (in the Auditorium)   and   Christmas Fellowship!  There will be crafts and singing for the Children upstairs in the Teen Room!   Please bring your favorite Holiday Finger Food (in a “Red or White” Plate) to the Table prepared upstairs  in front of the Teen Room.

Advent Conspiracy Special Collection  Next Sunday, Dec. 13!

Once again, we are encouraging everyone to  prayerfully cut back on Christmas spending and donate the difference to Living Water and Orphan’s Lifeline of Hope International.   We will be taking a special collection next  Sunday, December 13.    Please plan to use the Certificate of Clean Water (Advent Conspiracy) cards on the Foyer Table to give “in lieu”  of gifts.

Important Teen Parent Lunch & Meeting Next Sunday, Dec. 13!

If you have a teenager (or soon to be teenager), please plan to join us Sunday, December 13, after worship in the Family Life Center for lunch (provided) and a brief presentation from the Youth Committee on the State of the Youth Ministry.  We need your feedback to build a shared vision for this vital ministry.

Unwrapped Children’s Gifts for RGM by Next Sunday, Dec. 13

If you wish to bring in unwrapped Children’s Gifts for the Redwood Gospel Mission, please bring them in by next Sunday, December 13.

Perspectives Class Begins January 10 –Brochures  on  Foyer Table!

Sonoma Avenue is the Host Church for the Perspectives Course offered in Northern California.  The first two sessions are free (January 10  & 24);  plan to attend and be blessed!

Perspectives is a dynamic, internationally respected 15 week study program developed by the U.S. Center for World Mission.  Each week a different speaker will enlighten you and you will be motivated to examine your perspectives.  There is a $245 fee to Audit, or obtain a Certificate for the class.  A display and brochures are in the Foyer.

Attention Parents: Need to Trade Babysitting?

Need a break?  Can’t afford babysitting?  If you would like to trade babysitting with other parents, write “babysitting” on the back of your welcome card.
